By the end of this course, you will be able to:
Identify where storyboarding fits within the ADDIE framework and why it sits between analysis and development.
Describe the purpose of each field on The Storyboard template (Slide, Module, Title, Objective, Notes, Visual, and Script with Action and Timing).
Write a measurable slide-level objective that drives the design of a single piece of content.
Draft a production-ready script using time codes, quoted voiceover, and clear action cues.
Compose a visual brief that communicates composition, content, state, and source to a developer or video editor.
Build a complete storyboard slide using the template, applying every field as it would appear in a real project.
Evaluate a finished storyboard against a six-point review checklist before stakeholder handoff.
What You'll Learn
I built this course for the people I used to be: the instructional designer staring at a blank document at 9pm, the marketer trying to brief a video team without sounding vague, the freelancer who knows the work is good but wishes the process was faster. My goal is to build your confidence as someone who plans visual content for a living, whether you are working on e-learning, marketing video, or any kind of sequenced media. I will walk you through new approaches I use every day for writing scripts, briefing visuals, and structuring your work so that nothing gets lost between idea and production. You will leave with practical tools you can apply on your very next project, including a six-point review checklist and an interactive slide builder I designed to mirror how I actually work. Most of all, my hope is that you strengthen your foundation in the ADDIE framework so that every storyboard you build, long after this course is over, becomes a faster, more confident piece of professional work.
